Iran University Press: Custodian of Four Decades of Scientific and Research Activity
As one of the oldest and most reputable academic institutions in Iran, Iran University Press has, for more than four decades, played an unparalleled role in the advancement of knowledge by publishing reference works in the humanities, basic sciences, engineering, and by translating specialized academic texts.
Through collaboration with distinguished university professors, renowned translators, leading researchers, and expert faculty members, the Center has consistently served as one of the country’s main hubs for the production and dissemination of knowledge.
Many of Iran’s distinguished scholars and renowned translators have collaborated with the University Press over the years. To date, the Center has published more than 2,000 specialized titles across various scientific fields, playing a significant role in enhancing the quality of higher education. Its participation in this year’s exhibition provides an opportunity to showcase part of this legacy alongside its latest scientific and research achievements, offering them to the academic and research community.
Comprehensive Program of the University Press at the 2025 Exhibition
At the 26th Exhibition of Research, Technology, and Tech-Market Achievements, the University Press will not only present its latest publications and ongoing projects—including the unveiling of the Comprehensive Electronic Knowledge Publishing Platform—but will also host an extensive program featuring specialized meetings, launches of new works, and dialogues with researchers and translators.
These activities are designed to highlight the Center’s scientific capacities, introduce new trends in academic publishing, and provide a platform for interaction with researchers, university professors, graduate students, and those interested in scholarly publishing.
One of the Key Components of the University Press Program
One of the central elements of the University Press program is the organization of a series of meetings and specialized roundtables with the participation of faculty members, authors, translators, and researchers active in various fields.
These sessions are designed around diverse themes, including:
- Exploring developments in academic publishing in Iran and worldwide
- Challenges and prospects in translating scientific and specialized texts
- Innovation in digital publishing and the future of academic resources
- Challenges in the internationalization of academic journals
In these sessions, professors and researchers, in addition to presenting theoretical discussions, will share their practical experiences in the fields of research, translation, and the publication of scholarly works—providing inspiration for students and fellow researchers. Furthermore, part of the meetings will be dedicated to Q&A segments, offering visitors the opportunity for direct dialogue with experts.
At this year’s exhibition, the University Press will introduce several new works for the first time. These include authored books, specialized translations, reference collections, and ongoing research projects.
In recent years, while maintaining its position in publishing classical and reference texts, the Center has adopted a new approach by supporting interdisciplinary research, introducing modern technologies, and publishing works related to contemporary humanities. The unveiling of these new titles reflects the Center’s growing trajectory in responding to the evolving needs of the academic community.
